iPhones could soon have access to a dedicated Gemini app
AI, gemini, google, NewsI’ve loved Google’s Gemini as my go-to AI companion since its release. However, when I’m on my iPhone, I’m stuck using Apple Intelligence, which isn’t yet up to par, or the Gemini interface included in the Google app. However, a dedicated Gemini iPhone app seems to be on the way.
It’s worth noting that I don’t know this leaker all too well, but they contribute to MacRumors, so they do have some credibility. Reportedly, this app is already available in the Phillippines.

The app supports Gemini Live and other advanced features. It will also allow quicker and more direct access to Gemini than the current method, which requires users to open the Google app and switch to the Gemini tab.
The feature is reportedly a bit buggy right now, which is likely why it hasn’t been pushed to North America. It’s unclear if this version of Gemini will get all the same extensions available on Android as iOS. Gemini on Android is getting a new Utilities extension to help Gemini completely replace Google Assistant.
