Andor season 2 lands on Disney+ on April 22
News, star wars, StreamingThe Star Wars spin-off starring Diego Luna is finally returning to the small screen in the spring of 2025. Compared to other Star Wars shows on the streaming service, the first season of the show is incredibly well-regarded, and season two will lead directly into the Star Wars Story Rogue One.
There will be 12 episodes in Andor Season 2, and Disney plans to release them in three-episode blocks. Each block will cover three days in the show’s world over a four-year lead-up to the events of Rogue One, according to The Wrap.

The show continues to be helmed by Tony Gilroy, who also wrote Rogue One and season one of Andor, so fans can expect the upcoming season to thematically tie in with his other projects quite succinctly. We can also expect some of the characters from season one to return to help wrap up their plots. Alan Tudyk and Ben Mendelsohn will also reprise their roles from Rogue One. Tudyk will be playing the droid K-2SO and Mendelsohn will play the villain Orson Krennic.
I grew up as a huge Star Wars fan, but a lot of the modern shows haven’t hit for me, so I rarely watch them anymore. However, I loved Rogue One, and when Andor came out, it was met with rave reviews, and I second that opinion. The show is much more human and believable while also having an exhilarating plot broken up into three distinct arcs. I’m very excited to see what Gilroy has cooked up for Season 2.
